The Secretariat is located within the Olympic Hall New Wing of the Olympic Park in the Songpa-gu district of the Korean Capital.
It is the start of a new chapter of the ACC, led by the President Chainarong Charoenruk(THA), as the Secretariat will provide a permanent base for staff to work from.
Jake Eunsuk Kim, who was elected as Secretary General of ACC in November last year, said he was trilled to open the new headquarters in his native country, with continental governing body now sharing office space with the Korea Canoe Federation.
"The establishment of the Asian Canoe Confederation Secretariat was my election pledge," said Mr. Eunsuk Kim.
" I am glad that we were able to realise this in a short time. I will work closely with the International Canoe Federation to prepare for a new leap forward for the Asian Canoe Confederation."
ICF President Thomas Konietzko has welcomed the opening of the new ACC Secretariat.
"This is fantastic news for our friends at the Asian Canoe Confederation and I wish them all well in their new offices," said Mr. Konietzko. " I am sure this move will bring a lot of benefits to the ACC as paddle sports continue to flourish across Asia."
